This edition comes with 25.5 inch display, blu-ray dvd player and TV tuner. I upgraded from Vista to Wondows 7 and it runs smoothly. It has pretty much everything that a family would need for an all-in-one kitchen PC. And it is touch screen. HP TouchSmart proprietary software loads rather slow, but The Windows Media Center does all you need for video/tv and music. Yes, there are more user friendly options for a mac user but windows has made good steps in the right direction.For the money you can't find a better deal.
I have had nothing but problems with this machine, constant lock up/freezing, auto shut down, slow, hangs. I will never buy another HP. It has been in for repair 3 times already and just picked it up on Friday and had to put it back in yesterday for the 4th time. They have replaced the hard drive twice already. I have 2 other desktops and 3 laptops in the house and they are all Dell and I have NEVER had any of these problems. For a $2000 computer I expected a lot more out of it.
I had to wipe everything and install another operating system, because Vista is unoperative as OP. I needed a lot of memory and a big screen. I bought this computer for my work as a translator. Now it works, but the configuration is nowhere the factory one, and I lost three weeks work. After three weeks of struggling with Vista and Administrator Rights, trying to install the software I needed to work, the computer started crashing and getting blue screens. I spent another week trying to use the recover disks, but the situation did not improve. Other than that, it has a fantastic screen and great sound. It has great looks and really quiet operation.
I have this machine for 40 days, but i was able to use it only 4 days due to endless problems with this machine. does not replace this machine, cant fix it 8 times in a row. Freezes, slow, locks up, and then does not load windows. [.]. This is a defected model, tons of people having this machine have the same experience. Save your money for something else.
They stood behind the product and repaired it (very quickly too). I received the product with more damage than implied (description implied minor blemishes, in reality the touchscreen didn't work AND there were minor blemishes). Amazon finally came back and said they would take it back within 30days. Amazon was slow to respond (two attempts to even get a reply.). HP was excellent. Attempts to define the 30day period were met with silence. Last large purchase I will make from Amazon.
